Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan, has deactivated his Instagram account after a video of him criticizing the Bollywood industry went viral. In the emotional video, Babil expressed feeling alienated and accused several popular celebrities like Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, and even singer Arijit Singh of being rude to him. He described the film industry as “so f***ed” and “so rude,” which sparked widespread concern among fans about his mental well-being.
The video was originally posted on his Instagram Stories but was deleted soon after. Despite this, it circulated widely across platforms like Reddit and X. Soon afterward, Babil’s Instagram account became unavailable, showing the “User not found” message. Some reports suggest this might have been part of a PR stunt gone wrong, though there has been no official clarification from Babil himself.
Earlier in April, Babil had starred in a ZEE5 film titled Logout, a cyber-thriller that explored themes of digital fame, social media addiction, and the pressures of online life. The film received attention for its intense commentary on how modern society is affected by technology and the need for validation.
Many fans and colleagues from the film industry have expressed concern and called for support and understanding, highlighting the mental health struggles young actors often face in the limelight.
